With the cycling season in full swing, the latest round of Hinckley CRC's evening 10 mile time trial series between Wolvey and the A5 attracted a bumper entry of 54 riders including two first time competitors Richard Hart (29.37) and Phil Peters (30.43) and a host of guest riders from neighbouring clubs. In warm weather and with a harder return leg into a breeze, consistent Joe Murray recorded the fastest time with 21.44 followed by Gary Neale who set a personal course best with 22.13. Neale's performance demonstrated a vain of excellent form as the third time in just one week where he had improved his times over 10 and 25 miles. Two further 22 minutes rides were achieved by Mick Wills 22.31 and Jason Evans 22.43 whilst Kelvin Southan improved his best again with 23.50 marginally ahead of Nathan Anderton who also recorded a personal best with 24.12 to complete the top ten places. Regular competitor and improving veteran rider Barry Hodgkinson posted 27.04 for a new personal with new member Mark Lee improving again for the fourth week to 27.48 Further course bests were achieved by John Borlase, Martin Sharrocks and Chris Lyon whilst Louise Oliver posted another sub 20 mph ride with 29.27.(Joe Murray)
