Proving that every second counts in the discipline of time trailing, just seven seconds separated the first three riders in Hinckley CRC's latest evening 10 mile race at Wolvey. Joe Murray edged out Bill Harris for victory by just one second with his 22.06 ride with Scott Walker again pushing the leaders with the same consistently high performance as the previous week in 22.13. With a return to spring like weather and warm still conditions, two further 22 minutes rides were recorded by Jason Evans reducing his mark for the course with 22.45 closely followed by Hinckley based guest rider Dael Sidwell in 22.49 whilst Gary Neale showed returning form with 23.00 after suffering in recent weeks with hay fever. Throughout the field, riders recorded personal best performances including Alan Kitching, Barry Hodgkinson, Ralph Richardson, Neil Bailey and Chris Lyon. Regular competitor on the Cloudsley Bush course and the only lady rider of the evening Louise Oliver improved her best time to 28.34 whilst first time competitor Mark Lee set his mark at 28.55.
